    Cecil Hasty Wall

    HEBRON — Cecil Hasty Wall of 27042 South Tourmaline Drive in Hebron passed away at his home on Friday, July 22, 2011, with his loving daughter, Patricia, at his side. Hasty was born at his parents' farm in Barnwell County, S.C., on Jan. 29, 1923.

    He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Parks of Salisbury; and his son, James Wall of Southern Pines N.C.; a sister, Jackie Haddon of Sunset Harbor, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Wall of Vienna, Va., and Libby Wall of Greenville, N.C.; a grandson, Master Sgt. Lannie "Phil" Parks of Camp Lejeune, N.C.; a granddaughter, Jeanell Todd of East New Market; a grandson, James Wall of Pennsylvania; and a granddaughter, Aldora Wall of Pennsylvania; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Mary Louise Crumrine; his parents, Charlie and Eva Hasty Wall; one sister, Alice Ohlyne Benedict of Shelby, Mich.; and two brothers, Charles Wall Jr. of Greenville and O'Neal Wall of Vienna.

    Hasty spent four years in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the USS Bayfield, seeing action at Omaha Beach and Okinawa.

    Inurnment will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Maryland Veterans Cemetery Eastern Shore near Hurlock.
