Polk County Enterprise, 25 Feb 2008: Mr. Carl Albert Tullis, age 52 of Latexo, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008. Mr. Tullis was born April 17, 1955 in Galveston, Texas to Cresley Paul and Irene Tullis and was a lifetime resident of Houston County. Mr. Tullis was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Tullis was a heavy equipment operator employed by Circle G Excavating and had completed a training course with the Associated Builders and Contractors Incorporated. Mr. Tullis will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Survivors include his girlfriend Becky O?Pry, of Latexo; daughters Krystle Tullis, of Porter, Carly Tullis, Stephanie Leediker and husband, Kenny, all of Crockett, Erica Nunze, of Latexo; sons Wayne Tullis, Tommy Tullis and Erin Foreman, Reno Tullis and Aliesa McCloud, all of Huffman; Briar Thompson, of Latexo; three granddaughters; three grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Cresley Paul and Irene Tullis. Funeral Services for Mr. Carl Albert Tullis were held Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel.
