    "Buford B. Leach - Islesboro, May 21

Funeral services for Buford B. Leach, who died last week at Redstone, N.H. were held Saturday afternoon at Second Baptist Church. By request from the family the Rev. Harold Nutter of the Waldo County Larger Parish, came to Islesboro to read the funeral service. Mr. Nutter was pastor of the local church during a part of the time Mr. Leach resided here.

Mr. Leach, who was 66 years old, had been ill many months at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clayton Mason, of Redstone, where he and Mrs. Leach went more than two years ago after selling their home here.

He was born at Penobscot, the youngest son of Uriah and Edith Snowman Leach. He came to Islesboro about 27 years ago and for more than 20 years served as manager of the George Clark estate at Dark Harbor. He was a member of Island Lodge, F & AM, and during his residence here was active in civic affairs.
