    Barbara Hope (Pillow) DeBusk was born in Austin, Texas on March 7, 1917 to parents, Jack Foster and Hilda Cecilia Pillow and flew into her heavenly father's arms on September 10, 2017.

    Over her 100 years on this earth, Barbara has resided in Houston, Crosby, Navasota, Marble Falls, Kingsland and most recently at the time of her death, in Katy, Texas. Her accomplishments and interests ranged from loving mother & wife, to gardener, seamstress, bookkeeper and tax consultant. She was an active member of the Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants and was recognized in 2013 as the oldest living female licensed CPA in the State of Texas. She was active in the Mormon Church and participated in many genealogic pursuits.

    She is preceded in death by her parents, by husband of 55 years, Charles Roy DeBusk, by daughter, Barbara Lee DeBusk, son, James W. Light, sister Ruth Jean Cartwright and brother David Pillow.

    She is survived by children, Maxine Thamm, Charlotte McGregor, John A. DeBusk & Anita Keelan; and her grandchildren, Diana Carter, Connie Owens, August Thamm Jr, Jana Thamm, Norma Klein, Norbert Becker, Debbie Simecek, Dottie Becker, Roy Becker, Shanda Light, James Gregory Light, Debra Woolsey, Laura Derkits and Susan Hudnall, as well as numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

    Visitation and Services will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1928 Drexel Dr., Katy, TX 77493, with visitation and services to celebrate her life. Burial and graveside service will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery Annex, 1601 Comal St, Austin TX 78702 following services under the direction of Carter Conley Funeral Home.

    The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Hill Country Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 67, Ingram, TX 78025
