    "A note from a family member about Andrew Benedict: Andrew died in Stockton, CA, taking part in the gold rush. He left his family and went west to make his fortune. She states that when she was in CA, she tried to find his gravesite and looked up paper records. It appeared that he might have died in a typhus epidemic, and where he would have been likely buried in now a parking garage. She saw a newspaper record that asked relatives to move bodies from that spot about 1920.



    This was probably the Stockton State Hospital Cemetery which was sold in 1925."
