Roger WATERS was born and raised on his father's farm with his sister Grace at Minnetonka - Hopkins, Hennepin County, MN. Viola Bowler, the daughter of Samuel and Bertha Bowler, was born at Pine City, MN. An only child, she was raised in Southwestern Minneapolis. Both Roger and viola attendd West High School in Minneapolis where they undoubtedly met. Viola's parents - Samuel Archibald Bowler (b. FEB 17, 1869; d.SEP 3, 1936) & Bertha Wilhelmina Augustina Engfer (b.MAR 18, 1876, d.NOV 25, 1962) both of Minneapolis - St. Louis Park, MN.

Roger enlisted in the Navy and was in training at Dunwoody Institute at war end. He was employed by the O. B. McClintock Co., resided in St. Louis Park where Wayne and Minnette were born. In 1923 he acepted employment at the Western Electric Co. in Chicago, IL. The family resided in Bellwood, IL where Juanita and Doris were born. In 1928 the company moved him to NJ. The family resided in Roselle Park. In 1931 he lost his job in th depression and moved back to MN. In 1936 he fegained his job and the family, except Wayne, returned to NJ and resided in Roselle. In the late 1950's, after the girls were married he and Viola moved to Lake Hopatcong where they had Summer home for severl years. They purchased a year around home and he retired. In 1974 they moved to the Gettysburg Lutheran Home. Roger is burried in the Rest Haven cemetery in Hanover, PA.
