Note from Rena Bacon (c.a. 1958) to Charlotte Gray regarding the page reproduced below her note. In other correspondence, Ms. Bacon addressed Charlotte as "cousin". Her note: "Do not know how interested you are in genealogy, but am enclosing a leaf from Buford's (grandfathers) store book. William Snowman, as perhaps you know kept store at the bay on the corner where store is now torn down. The book is heavy thick and well bound and as you can see well preserved (by the leaf) for 133 years old 1825 & 1826. Aunt Lucy was in possession of the book, she gave it to Herman Perkins (a Snowman descendant) as probably you know and recently he gave the book back to me. - Rena Bacon" The page also includes the account of Hiram Leach.
