must have been married previous to Mary as his children have a 40 year span (and mary remarried after his death and had 2 more children of her own=per AAH= I think this Thomas must have had more than one wife. The earlier marriages for Henrico Co. are very incomplete, so we just don't know. But his wife Mary, the one who was his widow, had 2 more children after he died, the latest c. 1798. It isn't possible that all of the children were hers. I have no idea when he married her or who the previous wife was so don't know how to assign the children to anyone.
