King S. Pringle opened a Freedmen's Bank account in Charleston, South Carolina on April 13, 1870. On his application he gave his parents' names as Renty Pringle and Susan Pringle. Both were listed as deceased on his 1870 application.

King's brothers and sisters were listed as Frank Pringle (deceased), Georgiana Steward, Nancy (deceased), and Delia (deceased).
