In 1938, Ralph was living at 2825 New Haven Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a mechanic at International Harvester Company.

Lucile's obituary reads, "LUCILE B. GLADIEUX, 86, died Thursday at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Born in Maples, she spent most of her life in Fort Wayne. She was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jane Fletcher and Maxine Sordelet, both of Fort Wayne; a brother, Harold Gerardot of Fort Wayne, 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granchildren. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2610 New Haven Ave. Calling 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Calling also one hour before services at the church. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials for Masses." She is buried in the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
