In 1292 Thomas, son of Sir Thomas de Hastings, and his sisters, Amice wife of Thomas de Goldington and Christian wife of William de Goldington, petitioned at Appleby against the murderers of Nicholas de Hastings, their brother, who had been slain in a ditch at Crosby Ravensworth six years before (Assize Roll. Westmorland, no. 987, m. 34 d., etc.).
