King S. Pringle and Bella Unknown: Family History

King S. Pringle, age 40, opened a Freedmen's Bank account in Charleston, South Carolina on April 13, 1870. On his application, he stated that he was born and raised on Drayton Hall Plantation, Ashley River, Charleston, South Carolina.

He was then living in North Santee, Georgetown County, South Carolina, working for Col. Manigault. He listed Bella as his wife's name.

King's children's names were listed as Cuffy (no surname listed) and Georgiana (deceased). His brothers and sisters were listed as Frank Pringle (deceased), Georgiana Steward, Nancy (deceased), and Delia (deceased). Cuffy Remiden?, relationship unknown, came with King when he opened his Freedmen's Bank account.
