Jim and Teresa had five children, three daughters and two sons.

Teresa's obituary reads, "TERESA A. (BURNS) HUMPHREY, 77, died Monday at St. Anne Home. Born in Allen County, she retired as a secretary at General Electric Co. in 1949 after 12 years and retired as a clerk at Bellmont Stores in 1989. Surviving are her husband, Jim; three daughters, Barbara Johnson and Joyce Oetting, both of Fort Wayne, and Denise Chan of Irvine, Calif.; two sons, Douglas of Park Hills, Ky., and Ed of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Celeste Milkie of Vernon, Conn.; and six grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road. Calling from 5 to 9 p.m. today at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana 930 E., New Haven, and an hour before services at the church. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association."
