  4. ↑ by Rev. D.M. Rumberger. Hannah was previously married to a "Henry Lanich" her maiden name unknown. There was one known child to George and Hannah, a son, Adam (listed as "Ada" in census). The Sugar Valley Circuit of the Evangelical Association (as it was then called) seems to have been organized in 1872. Preaching was done in the German language. Included in the circuit or charge was the church which was built on the hill, the site being the present Fairview Cemetery, on the east side of Loganton; and was served by Z. Hornberger in the year 1869
  5. ↑ listed with them is Minnie and Alice, daughter of George's first wife; and Ada, his child by this wife, Hannah and also Kate and Della Lanich, step-daughter's to George, who were born to Hannah and her first husband. Also listed with them is William M Confer, an apprentice shoemaker
  6. ↑ own their home with a mortgage. Hannah reports she is the mother of five children with four living after 25 years of marriage. They have no children listed with them. Renting at the same address is George's daughter, Kate Ressler's family
