Family:Eugene Walker and Margaret McDonald (1)

Eugene Walker, Sr. was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1921. He was somehow relocated to California and it seems he was "adopted" by Wakefield Niel Walker and Edith Custer Halzell. Eugene is a Native Hawaiian in fact, and was raised away from his culture and homeland as part of the genocide and associated denationalization and forced removal of Native children that continues today. Despite the confusing and hurtful beginnings, Eugene went on to be a beloved actor on the Southern California theater scene, along with his wife, Margaret McDonald.
