Ernest and Rosalie had one son.

Mike's obituary reads, "ERNEST GLADIEUX SUCCUMBS AT 60. Ernest "Mike" Gladieux, 60, of 5502 New Haven Avenue, died at 11:50 a.m. yestereday at Parkview Memorial Hospital. A native of Besancon, he resided here most of his life. Mr. Gladieux was garage foreman for City Street Department 17 years and later supervisor of road equipment for Allen County. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Council 451, St. Joseph Athletic Club and the Moose lodge. Surviving are his wife, Rosalie; a son, Dennis "Butch," Fort Wayne; five brothers, Clyde, New Haven, Jeff and Louis, both of Fort Wayne, Nelson, Addison, Mich., and Virgil, Toledo, Ohio; and two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Parnin, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Harry Thorpe, Angola. Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday at Tom Mungovan Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at the church. Calling will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday with Rosary services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. in St. Michael's Ridge Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio.
