Mary's obituary reads, "YODER. MARY E. "EDDY" SORG, 88, of Yoder, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Covington Manor Health & Rehabilitation. Born Oct. 2, 1919, in Zulu, Ind., she worked at Guardian Photo Lab, retiring after 14 years of service in 1984. She was also a homemaker; and member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Rosary Society and Association of Miracuous Medal. She was an avid euchre player. Surviving are her son, Jerry (Deb) Sorg of Hoagland; daughters, Shirley (Mike) Durnell of Fort Wayne, Carol (Jerry) Smith and Kathy (Greg) Byrd, both of Yoder; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Sorg; parents, Charles Frane and Elma Gladieux; two brothers; three sisters; and one grandson. Prayer service is 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Yoder. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery.
