Clyde and Florence had six children, four sons and two daughters. Florence's obituary reads, "FLORENCE E. GLADIEUX, 88, of New Haven, died Saturday in Parkview Memorial Hospital. The Fort Wayne native was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven, and its Altar Guild, and a volunteer at St. Joseph Medical Center. Surviving are her husband, Clyde; daughters, Joan Johnson of Fort Wayne and Pat Hughes of Bellingham, Wash.; sons John of New Haven, Charles of Columbia City; Michael of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Marshall of Fort Wayne; 23 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven, and 10 a.m. in the church, with burial in the church cemetery. Calling is 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home, with a vigil at 8:30 p.m. Preferred memorials are gifts to Masses or the American Heart Association." His wife, Florence, died in 1993. Surviving are four sons, John of New Haven, Charles of Columbia City, Michael or Ann Arbor, Mich., and Marshall of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Joan Johnson of Fort Wayne and Pat Hughes of Bellingham, Wash.; a sister, Alice Parnin of Fort Wayne; a brother, Virgil of Toledo, Ohio; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1013 Powers St., New Haven. Calling from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 U.
