  2. A Find A Grave memorial with no image, apparently using the age at death of the Ashfield, Mass., death record (56 y. 11 m. 6 d., p. 232 of Ashfield VRs) to identify the wife as Eunice Allen while ruling out Eunice Chadwick. However, its calculation appears flawed, and in any event, this is not really convincing. The date of death is 3 Apr 1813. This is equivalent to 34 Mar 1813, March having 31 days. Subtracting 6 days gives 28 Mar 1813, subtracting 11 months gives 28 Apr 1812, subtracting 56 years gives 28 Apr 1756. Whether this is Eunice Allen, d/o John and Hannah, b. Sutton 30 Apr 1756 [per Sutton VRs, not 27 Apr 1756 as the memorial page says]; or Eunice Chadwick, d/o John and Lydia, b. Worcester 29 Apr 1756; is way too precise a decision to base on age at death. Both John Allen [Worcester Probate 1349] and of John Chadwick [Worcester Probate 10633] died before the probable time of marriage, so their probates distribute property to unmarried daughters. The cited deed where Archibald Burnet sells land that once belonged to John Chaddick shows that the wife is Eunice Chadwick and the memorial is wrong.
