Tree compilers have been tempted to say that the children of this family were born in Brunswick County, Virginia, but since it is not certain that any of them were born prior to 1719, when Ambrose is known to have had land in Brunswick County, this temptation should be avoided[1]. However, if Brandenberger is correct that Ambrose Jackson was from York County, Virginia[2], then it is likely that they were all born in Virginia.

"... Ralph and Ambrose had their roots in York County where Jacksons were situated at an early date."

The author's description of the connection to York County does not provide an exact ancestry for either Ralph or Ambrose, but shows that both names appear among the York Jacksons.
