Collaborating with WeRelate
WeRelate makes it easy to connect with others researching the same lines as you by creating wiki pages for each of your ancestors. The pages can include event information, sources, images, and personal histories.

Two Ways to Start Collaborating

You can create wiki pages for your ancestors by importing a GEDCOM file or by entering the information online.

Create a wiki page for an ancestor

<addpage>108</addpage>

Enter the first given name and the surname of one of your ancestors, then press the "Add" button.

Next Steps

Once you have entered some information, you can e-mail links to the pages you have created or a link to your entire tree to your relatives. To e-mail a link to an individual page, click "E-mail" from the "More" menu in the upper right-hand corner of the page. To e-mail a link to your entire tree, first click on "Trees" from the "My Relate" menu, then click on the "E-mail" link.

Furthermore, anyone can find the information you've entered and add to it. You'll receive an e-mail notification whenever someone else changes one of your pages. Changes to a page create a new version of the page, and you can see what was changed by comparing your version to the new version. Information at WeRelate is never overwritten.
