Hi,

Great pages! Thanks for participating, glad to have you aboard!

One suggestion: The search engine can see your "surname in place" pages until you put something on them. If you want other researches to find you in a search, you will need to put a few words on each "surname in place" page. Just click on the red "surname in place" link on your home page, select edit and put something like "I am researching the Daniel and Ella Phillips family in Texas, contact me [[User talk:Wsmorganv]] .

We need some help clarifying the help and tutorial pages. You could edit directly or email Solveig with any suggestions or comments. Thanks again for participating.--sq 08:27, 6 July 2006 (MDT)

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm still getting my feet wet here, but hope to devote some more time this weekend. Can you tell me what html code I might enter to get the photo on my user page to show in its entirety? Right now, it's partially hidden on the right hand side . . .

Your image looks fine in the browsers I've tried, but if you want you can try setting the width of the image manually: [[Image:1900Morgans.jpg|400px]] sets the width to 400 pixels for example. You can find out more about image formatting at Wikipedia's extended image syntax page. Please let us know if you have any other questions!--Dallan 10:23, 12 July 2006 (MDT)

This newbie appreciates the guidance, Dallan! Thanks for your efforts in getting this site up and running!

We're glad to see all that you're doing! Feel free to ask questions anytime.--Dallan 20:27, 12 July 2006 (MDT)

Licensing

Hi, WeRelate will feature ancestor pages in a few weeks and GEDCOM uploads about December, 2006. Ancestor pages will make posting biographies very simple. This has brought up some licensing issues. Please read Licensing issues discussion page and give us your opinion. Thanks --sq 16:08, 14 August 2006 (MDT)
