St. Paul's Parish [2 November 2012]

I saw the edit you made to the source:Register of St. Paul's Parish and wondered if you could tell me - would it be correct to assume that folks recorded in this St. Paul's register all lived in what became King George County? Or did the Parish overlap into other counties? --Janiejac 16:26, 2 November 2012 (EDT)

I believe the original parish area is now entirely within King George, but it belonged to Stafford before 1776. The county boundaries were substantially altered that year.Tarchon 17:02, 2 November 2012 (EDT)

Buckner information [4 March 2013]

Just got your message, I believe I just stumbled across some of the sites detailing the mis-information posted on some of the other sites. I'll stop where I am, so you can correct whatever you feel is credible. Sorry, I thought this family appeared well-researched. Thanks for letting me know.

Best regards,

I would say the family is much written about but not very well researched. Crozier is by far the best of the major sources, and you have to thoroughly check every single thing in it. A lot of what you've been copying from is taken second or third hand from Buckner Descendant Generations, which was written by a ex mental patient who sells PDFs of it on the internet for over $100 a pop. He maintains multiple websites in which he claims to be God. Suffice it to say that most of the sources he refers to in the book don't actually exist in real life. Geez, that's scary, sure makes it difficult if you're trying to keep fairly accurate information on your family....

Thanks again for the warning.

Best regards,

Jim

Yeah, you end up spending as much time debunking old stuff as you do getting anything new done. Tarchon 19:36, 3 March 2013 (EST)
