Census [3 April 2013]

Hello and welcome! Thank you for adding census sources. I wanted to let you know that there are standard templates and categories to add to census sources: After creating the page, enter in the text field "Template:XXXXCensus," which will add usage tips via a template. On the next line by "[[Category:XXXX [Insert the State name here, do not include the brackets] census]]." If you have any questions, please let me know.--Amelia 01:47, 4 April 2013 (EDT)

Giuseppe DiCosimo Question [19 March 2019]

Hello,

I read your entries on Giuseppe (Joseph) DiCosimo and his family and I was wondering if you might have some more information on his other family members? Specifically Giuseppe's cousins. My great grandmother Lillian's parents were Vincenzo (James/Jim) DiCosimo and his wife Assunta (Susan/Susie) Pacchiarotta (Rodie). From my research, it appears that Giuseppe and Vincenzo came from the same town, Paterno, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy, and were born around the same time (Vincenzo, 1880, Giuseppe, 1889). They also show up in the St. Paul, Minnesota city directories together during certain years. Also, on Giuseppe, Maria, and Blanche/Bianca's passenger list from when they came to the United States, it lists their arrival contact as Vincenzo DiCosimo. The passenger list says Vincenzo is Giuseppe's cousin, and Maria's brother-in-law. Vincenzo and his family lived at 623 Warren in Saint Paul, Minnesota at the same time Giuseppe and his family were in Saint Paul. I was wondering if you know if my great-great grandfather, Vincenzo DiCosimo, is really Giuseppe's cousin, or if there was coincidentally another Vincenzo DiCosimo in Saint Paul, Minnesota at the same time that Giuseppe and his family went to live there who was listed at their arrival contact on the passenger lists from Naples to the USA instead of my great-great grandfather. Also, if you have more information on Vincenzo, do you know who his parents were? If Vincenzo and Giuseppe really are cousins, I think Vincenzo's dad would have to be Paolo DiCosimo as is listed under Giuseppe's dad's siblings, as the DiCosimo name is still present with Vincenzo, and the other male sibling's birth and death year are the same, so he wouldn't have had any children.

Thank you for writing about Giuseppe and his family and for any possible information you have on Vincenzo! Even if Vincenzo and Giuseppe aren't related, it was still interesting to read what you wrote on the DiCosimo family! -Andrew--Bammers6 05:44, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
