Error importing Reedy GED.ged [12 September 2007]

We had an error while attempting to import Reedy GED.ged. This is most likely our fault. We will review the error and should have your pages ready tomorrow (or Monday if tomorrow falls on a weekend). There is no need to re-import your GEDCOM file.

It turns out that these two GEDCOMs which were uploaded do not have any people or families in them. Maybe check your settings in Reunion and see if you can get it to export the people and families to the GEDCOM? Let us know if we can help you figure out how to do it. Also, let us know whatever you find out about exporting from Reunion -- it would be nice to have a Reunion GEDCOM export help page linked to from the GEDCOM export help page. -Nathan 11:01, 12 September 2007 (EDT)

GEDCOM processor behind [12 September 2007]

Just wanted to let you know that a lot of people are uploading GEDCOM's today and the GEDCOM processor is running a few hours behind, but your GEDCOM should be processed soon. (This file looks good, by the way.)--Dallan 12:53, 12 September 2007 (EDT)

Place names [15 September 2007]

Hi, thanks so much for participating! I am an admin for WeRelate. Its my job to help people get the most out of WeRelate. You may be wondering your your place names links are red. This means that this place is not in the place index. This isn't bad, it just means that that your event will not show up on the pedigree map or be indexed in a place category. If this is a well known place, chances are it's in the index but listed differently. Type in the town, county, or district followed by a comma. Wait a few moments and a list of all the possible places in the index will drop down. Many places change their names even countries, these renamed places will appear at top of the list. Scroll down to your place and click on it. If your place is not on the list, type in Town, County, Country (do not use abbreviations) and save the page. When you click on the red link you can create a new place page for that place. If you include the latitude and longitude or if it is contained in a county or country already in the system, it will appear on your pedigree map.--sq 13:50, 15 September 2007 (EDT)

Hi Osmond, Great to have you here. You'll see I changed your listing of Bristol just enough to fit the WeRelate search engine's understanding of places, so that when people search for that place they'll all wind up at the same page, and you won't miss being found by cousins. I'm not sure about your place entry for Gennesseem in Whiteside County, Illinois. From having grown up there and checked in some references, the only place like that in Illinois would be Geneseo in Henry County. Do you know if that's the place you meant? If it is, the way we would list it is Geneseo, Henry, Illinois, United States. I hope this helps, if not drop me a note! -- --Hh219 21:55, 15 September 2007 (EDT)

Jane Dabinott [22 April 2008]

I'm doing merges connected to early Windsor families and have no direct connection, so I have no idea of the answer to your question, but the better place for such a query is on the Talk page of the person you're confused about.--Amelia 00:40, 23 April 2008 (EDT)

Thomas Wells, etc. [25 May 2008]

Thanks for your info. If you have information that would help on any of those folks, please add it. My knowledge in that area is limited to the merging of duplicate ancestry already uploaded to werelate by others. Thanks!--Jrm03063 09:09, 25 May 2008 (EDT)

Mary Burt Marriage Questions [26 May 2008]

Something wrong here. Mary Burt married William Bassett in 1652, and had kids up into the 1670’s. Married William Brooks in 1654, with no kids. What’s right?--Osmond 17:29, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Hence my deep thought on Family:William Bassett and Mary Burt (1). I assume that someone mixed a person into a family that didn't belong, and when I conducted the merge the weirdness became obvious. Research has to be done.--Jrm03063 17:53, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Family:Alexander Cowden and Mary Fulton (1) [3 August 2013]

Hi, I am a volunteer admin and am merging duplicate pages and ran across your Family:Alexander Cowden and Mary Fulton (1) and Family:Alexander Cowden and Margaret Morrow (1). It appears that Margaret Morrow is an alternate mother of the family or that Margaret was the mother of some of the children and Mary Fulton the mother of the others. I am not connected with this family so I have no way to know. Could you please take a look at these pages. If Margaret and Mary are the same woman, then merge the pages--make sure to mark the merge box above their names. If they are the mothers of different families, you only need to delete the children that don't belong to the Mary from Family:Alexander Cowden and Mary Fulton (1) and do the same for Margaret. Hope this helps.  :) --sq 13:18, 25 September 2009 (EDT)

Harriet Adamson Ballyloughloe [21 March 2013]

Hi, this link from the Latter Day Saints records in Ireland gives Harriet Adamson's father as a Christopher Adamson, and William Fox as the father of the groom John Grierson Fox. The Ballinlock referred to is actually Ballyloughloe near Moate, County Westmeath. Ballyloughloe is now an unused name, the village is now commonly known as Mount Temple. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FGXZ-BL4--Tomas D 10:42, 21 March 2013 (EDT)

William Johnson [30 March 2016]

Hello,

I see your name on a page for William Johnson, married to Clara Murphy. These are my 3rd great grandparents. I have been looking for more information on William for a long time. I see that this page has an Augustus as his father. This is the first time I've seen a name for either of his parents, and I'm excited to learn more. Do you know anything about it, like a source for Augustus as William's father?--Jjohnsonrummler 04:30, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
