Licensing

Hi, WeRelate will feature ancestor pages in a few weeks and GEDCOM uploads about December, 2006. Ancestor pages will make posting biographies very simple. This has brought up some licensing issues. Had not realized you were behind Mozy as well before reading this site.

In your advisory capacity, you may suggest they grab the similar domains like "werelate.com", .us, .net. Saves some confusion and embarrassment -- especially if a porn site grabs one of them! It has happened to me and so I learned my lesson. Need to protect the brand recognition. "werelate.net" was just grabbed a few months ago by an oversees person. Hopefully the current "owners" would understand the non-profit nature and give the name up for free. As it is, they are all just parked on the names at the moment.
