Listed As Coming From Germany In ; Took a boat from Hamburg [2 December 2009]

This does not really fit the criteria of a place. It would be better entered in the Description field rather than the Place field, and in any event, there really is no need to create Place:page for this. Alternatively, the place could be entered as Germany, and either a source or note attached giving the extra explanation. --Jrich 11:57, 2 December 2009 (EST)

Thanks. I was playing with this and noticed I mad made an error and tried to correct it. Actually, how do I delete this?

Also, I'm interested in doing a page on my grandfather. I entered an article on Henry Wolinsky. But I wasn't sure how to build a page and an an image. I did upload images of him and the ships he took to get to America.

In some cases, like you are the only contributor, a Delete option will appear under the More menu. Not sure if this works for Places. You can also add {{speedy delete|<reason for request>}} to the text area of the page, and usually an administrator will delete it after reviewing your request.

To build a page, go to the Add menu. Be sure to review the Help videos on adding people, if you are unsure about how to do it. --Jrich 12:19, 2 December 2009 (EST)

Regarding this page: Henry_Wolinsky, this is considered an Article, and I believe what you intended was to create a Person Page for Henry. To do this, click on Add from the blue menu bar, and choose Person. Fill in the known fields and press Add Page. I would suggest transferring over the text from your previously mentioned article to this new person page. From within this Person page, you will be able to add his images.

Hello, I am a volunteer admin. I needed to delete the Place:Listed As Coming From Germany In ; Took a boat from Hamburg page. Our place database follows a name hierarchy: Smallest jurisdiction, larger jurisdiction, even larger jurisdiction, and so on, i.e. St. Paul, Ramsey, United States.
