Place pages [20 March 2011]

Hello, I am one of the volunteer admins here on WeRelate. I noticed that you created a place page for Trinity College. WeRelate's policy is to allow place pages for towns, counties, states, etc and cemeteries (not churches, hospitals or other physical locations). I edited your pages and moved the references to this place to the description field. Let me know if you have any questions, --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:40, 19 March 2011 (EDT)

Jennifer: thanks for this advice, and for amending the Person pages accordingly. I've had a look at the policy page as well. One thing that is not clear is whether WP should have place names for parishes - for example St Olave. That place was, I assume, automatically added by ingesting the "Family History Library Catalog". So, can a parish (ie geographical administrative area within a county) be included? Regards, Honnyng 09:03, 20 March 2011 (EDT)
To be honest, I don't know the answer to your question. You are correct that some of WR's places were obtained from the FHLC. I suggest that you may want to leave a message on the Support page. There will likely be users there more familiar with this subject who can offer advice. --Jennifer (JBS66) 15:20, 20 March 2011 (EDT)

Text on category page [23 March 2011]

Hello, I wanted to let you know that I moved the text you added to the Honnyng Category to this surname page instead: Surname:Honnyng. We generally keep the category pages text-free as they are meant to be navigational aids, but the Surname pages are a perfect place for this! To Watch the Surname page, just click Watch from the left menu. --Jennifer (JBS66) 06:23, 22 March 2011 (EDT)

Jennifer: many thanks for this, and for your tact with this newbie to WR ! The Surname page is perfect for this, and I'll gradually add a few more articles on the other surnames I'm working on. The fact that the Category page was editable confused me - but all is clear now. Regards, Honnyng 16:20, 23 March 2011 (EDT)

Thanks for changing the subject.... [16 July 2012]

Really - thanks. I must keep a civil tongue. I've never claimed to be a genealogist but I know when I'm making things better and not worse. I'll be glad to peek at the duplicates. --jrm03063 20:19, 15 July 2012 (EDT)

Isabella Tighe [15 May 2021]

Hello. I was after any information you may have on Isabella Kelly born in 1805 in Roscommon Ireland and associated with castle Kelly. She moved to Australia in 1841 with James John Tighe.--Deantighe 08:56, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
