Dial Family.ged Ready for Review [14 June 2009]

Welcome to WeRelate! WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors.

Now that you have uploaded your GEDCOM, your next step is to preview what your pages will look like and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. When you have finished your review, your GEDCOM will be imported. Click here to review your GEDCOM.

Gedcom import [14 June 2009]

Hi, I am a volunteer admin. I was checking your gedcom upload and noticed that the Joshua and Hannah family seem to match with the Joshua and Hannah family in the right column. It seems reasonable not to match the family in the middle column. You can match with just the family on the right without matching the family in the middle. At the top of the merge screen, just click on the match box under the matching family name. Don't click on the other match box. You might also want to recheck the match for James and Georgia. Looking at them, I could go either way.

Anyway I have returned this for your review. Please check it and mark it ready for upload.

There are some internal duplicates in your file. The day after the upload you can click on show duplicates in the MyRelate menu and merge the duplicates.

I hope you enjoy collaborating at WeRelate. Thanks,--sq 00:03, 15 June 2009 (EDT)

Locklear family [2 November 2010]

Henry, I research the Queen family. I received an email stating that 3 Queen men married either 2 or 3 Locklear sisters. The Locklear sisters were Lavina Sidney and/or Syndia. The marriages of Lavnia were to John and Jeremiah Queen in 1862 and 1872 respectively. The marriage of Sidney/Syndia was to Samuel Queen. All of the Queens moved from North Carolina to Arkansas then Texas and back to Arkansas. I don't know where the marriages took place. In fact I have not been able to place any of these Queen men. There are a lot of johns, Samuels and a few Jeremiah Queens. I beleive that Jeremiah Queen was Jeremiah N. Queen b.1824 Ark. sometimes known as Jerry Queen. I did find Jeremiah married to Lavina in the 1880 census, but no parents listed.I have not found her married to a John Queen. Do you know these Lochlear girls? I am hoping that you have info on them and can clear this up.

Thank you
