I would like to know for sure who are Marcus Quicks Paternal GrandParents. My Husbands GrandFather was Marcus and Carrie's Child as they are both listed on his Certificate of Death as his Parents. I know his Father was John Quick. Which John Quick? Is it John Krom Quick? In Census it looks like John H. Quick. I sure would like to know the answer to this question.--Breleon 02:59, 29 August 2011 (EDT)

Probable Match [1 June 2008]

Hi

It looks like we may have a common ancestor. Take a look at http://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:Elisabetha_Sadler_%281%29 and see what you think.

My husband is the one who is related to this line. I only have information that I picked up from files submitted to RootsWeb. I have not done any research myself.

Coleman family [1 June 2008]

Hi GLMARESCO,

I am interested in your Coleman line. We are now sharing pages on this line. I show the wife of James Coleman as Mourning Terry and that they were parents of Martha Pickett Coleman who married Green Washington Coleman.

You show his wife as Elizabeth. My information comes from a vertical file in the North Carolina archives. What about yours?

--Beth 17:10, 31 May 2008 (EDT)

I believe my information came from a book published about the residents of Butler Co., AL, which I found in the genealogy section of the Mobile Public Library. I have not done much work on this line.

Gretchen--GLMARESCO 18:21, 1 June 2008 (EDT)

Thanks Gretchen,

I will see what I can find out; I have found a possible connection with Martha Coleman Smith and a Lewis but I don't have any indication that Green was married to an Elizabeth. I have proof that he married Martha Coleman; so I will just remove Elizabeth as a wife; and leave comments in the talk section with your probable source. --Beth 20:35, 1 June 2008 (EDT)

In my network [15 December 2008]

I haven't logged into MyRelate for a long time and the first thing I see is that you are in my network, or something? What do we have in common?--Maggie 23:45, 14 December 2008 (EST)

[29 August 2011]

my husbands paternal line is Marcus Quick and Carrie. My Husbands Great Grandpa was a rider on the Orphan Train and was adopted. He was a child of Marcus and Carrie. They had two children. Both are deceased.--Breleon 16:21, 28 August 2011 (EDT)

My grandmother was a Quick from Ulster County, NY, town of Rochester. I have information about Marcus Quick and his family from another Quick researcher. Is there anything I can do to assist you?

I see that you are watching this page. Are we related? I am the daughter of Lula Mae Belle Eleton.--LLinamen 13:31, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

I am related to Lois Blanche Moore. Her mother was the youngest daughter of Peter Irwin, born in Ulster County, NY. I have studied the Irwin family of Ulster County for several years. My mom is an Irwin. Please e-mail me at gmaresco@aol.com, and I will give you more information. Is your father Leo Robert Cook? Gretchen--GLMARESCO 14:42, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

Quicks in Ulster County New York [2 September 2011]

I know you didn't have information on Carrie Kimbark, Marcus Quicks Second wife. Do you have any Proof that Dirck Quick and Maria (Polly) Weismuller were the Parents of John H. Quick. John H. Quick would be a Great Grandpa to my Husband. If you have any information on them and would like to share I would like that. Thanks.--Breleon 02:48, 2 September 2011 (EDT)

[4 September 2011]

I edited on Martha Quick and Abraham D. Smith. The information is correct and Please make certain I edited the pages correctly as I am new to werelate.org. Also I have spent 8-years searching for the parents of John H. Quick. I am certain he is my husbands lets see, Chester is my hubbys Grandpa so Marcus would be Great Grandpa which makes John H. Quick Great Great Grandpa. I kept trying to claim John Krom Quick as I thought H and K are not too far off perhaps the H was a typo. And the year matched. LOL! My research has been done Through a Genealogist at the Ulster County Genealogy Society. Who was sure Dirck Quick was the Father of John H. Quick. I hadn't known anything about the last three children of Dirck from my research. So, Thank You. I do have lots of information on the Family through my research.--Breleon 19:55, 4 September 2011 (EDT)

Hi Marsha, I corrected the surname. This user is not currently active so if you have any other problems it would be best to post the message on the Watercooler which you may access from the home page. You may edit the pages also. We no longer allow data for living people on WeRelate. If your parents are still living I need to delete their page. There are no dates on their pages. Warmest regards.--Beth 22:45, 22 October 2011 (EDT)

Greg, Are you the brother of Karen Valls? If so, you are my 2nd cousin. I have met Karen a few times in Mobile. I have more recent information on my tree on RootsWeb. I don't update the WeRelate site much since I uploaded a file a few years ago.--GLMARESCO 00:08, 18 August 2013 (EDT)

Keenr/ Condor Family Tree [7 July 2014]

Who are you that you have done so much family history?--Kathyras71 05:00, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

My mom was an Irwin, descended from the Irwins who lived in Wawarsing. I decided to research the Irwin family first when I started doing my family history. The Keeners are also descended from the Irwins. You might want to look at my family tree on RootsWeb, which has a lot more information than the tree on WeRelate. Here is a link: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=glmaresco&id=I2923

Thomas Keener was married to Cordelia "Dell" Irwin. She was the daughter of John D. Irwin and Mary Eck.--GLMARESCO 13:15, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

Henry Crawford b. 1813 [15 February 2015]

I see you are researching Henry. He would be my 3rd G-Grandfather. Any information on his parents?--DougCassidy 02:39, 15 February 2015 (UTC)

Pages for Living Individuals - please update or delete [27 December 2016]

Hi.

I see that you have about 60 pages for "living" persons in your Irwin and MS Mills tree. You might not be aware that, for legal reasons, WeRelate cannot host pages on living individuals (other than people famous enough to warrant a Wikipedia entry). Volunteers have been slowing slogging through deleting (or updating) pages for living individuals. I would ask that you please look after the pages you have created.

Some of these people are, in fact, deceased, and if you can find death information for them, so much the better. Otherwise the pages should be deleted. You can delete any pages where you are the only watcher (menu option more>Delete). If there are other watchers, add the speedy delete template and an admin will delete the page.

If you want to keep relatives linked after deleting pages for living individuals, there are templates that support that (I added a son-in-law/inlaws pair to pages you are watching, so you can get the idea). Thanks.--DataAnalyst 04:04, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
