Brock Family [9 January 2009]

Do you have a site or file online showing your Brocks? I am a Brock. My gr-grandfather was Patrick Henry Brock from AL and his father Francis Marion Brock from TN. Is this your family?--Twigs 17:01, 8 January 2009 (EST)

Familytwigs,

Hi, my Brocks were from DeKalb Co, Alabama. I checked my tree and don't have the ones you mentioned. My Brock line is David and Unicy/Nicy Brock, both born South Carolina, ended up in AL; they were cousins, so both Brocks. My direct line went to Arkansas, then OK and TX.

Were yours from the same area of AL?

Cynthia--CynthiaR 00:26, 9 January 2009 (EST)

Yes! My Brock were in the Sand Mountain area! The area of Etowah, DeKalb, and Marshall. Most still live there! The farthest I've gotten so far is Henry J. Brock, born 1770 in South Carolina. He was married to Mary Queener(Keener). He died in McMinn County, TN. We must be connected! I haven't found all the South Carolina family. My Brock file is here: [1] I don't have a gedcom up here at WeRelate.--Twigs 11:30, 9 January 2009 (EST)

Pages for Living Individuals Not Allowed [16 August 2018]

Hi

You might or might not be aware that WeRelate policy does not allow pages for living individuals (see FAQ:Can I create pages for living persons). I am in the process of ensuring that no pages with "Living" in the title remain, so that new users don't think they can create pages for living individuals. I note that you have several. If you would like some time to update them, please let me know, and I will handle other pages first and come back to yours later. If I don't hear from you, I will likely start to address your pages in a few weeks.

Note that I have been attempting to preserve as many pages as I can by doing some very limited online research to see if the person is in fact deceased. Given the number of pages titled Living, I cannot spend much time on each page, so the pages are more likely to be preserved if you can provide death information yourself.

Please reply here if you plan to update the pages yourself (even if you can't get to it for a few months), or if you have any questions or concerns. I will be watching this page. Respectfully,--DataAnalyst 00:56, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
