Family photographs I came across [17 August 2015]

Hello,

I notice you are watching the Claff family.I was at a sale a few weeks ago as I collect old photographs and postcards and I bid on a box of items.Inside was a photograph album with beautiful pictures of the Claff family and graves of Samuel Aaron Claff and Rosa Claff as well as a war grave of a private R claff also pictures of an old man marked Grandad Blumenthal in his library of 1000 books.I could tell this was no ordinary family as the weddings etc were so plush that I decided to research them and came up with your interest.I am loathe to sell these photographs on to some dealer as I feel they belong in the family and wondered if this was in fact your family .I am not wanting a lot of money for them as I only paid £75 for the box which contained these and a postcard album I wanted. If you think these may be your relatives please let me know.I live in the UK.
               Kind regards,
                       Audrey--Ivegot10sheep 15:15, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Elias Claff [22 November 2019]

Was wondering what info you may have on Elias Claff.

I actually descend from Eliezer and Zelda Klaff, from Shavl. Their daughter, Zivia (Sophie), was my great-grandmother.

Although Elias may have also gone by the name Eliezer, I believe he is separate a distinct from "my" Eliezer. My guess is they may be brothers or first cousins.

Moses Mendel and Rev. Schmuel Zalaman (who ultimately settled in S. Africa) are part of my direct family. I believe Rev. Moses Claff, who settled in England, descends from Elias, who also ultimately settled in the UK.

Look forward to hearing from you.--Sfamilant 16:33, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
