Duplicate families [3 December 2011]

Hi Anissa,

When you have a moment, please take a look at your Duplicates List by going to My Relate>Show Duplicates. It’s a good idea to check this list on a regular basis. There is a family there that has potential matches. We have an ongoing site-wide project to merge duplicates, but it is always better if somebody familiar with the families can make the merge. Problematic family that you added [16 September 2012]

You added the following family to WeRelate: William Hughart and Jane Hamilton. There are two glaring problems with this family:

You have William Hughart as being born 45 years AFTER his wife (??)

You have their son, Porter Smith Hughart as being born 8 years AFTER the death of his father and his mother would have been 134 years old at his birth!

For now, I've dis-connected Porter Smith Hughart from this family (since it is impossible that he was their son), and ask that you check your sources/records and correct dates or delete this family if you do not have documentation to support these dates. Please be sure to add only families that you have adequate sources (and add those sources to your Person and Family pages) to support the information you add.
