I run a few websites, including two relating to my family history. One is about a novel, No Sunlight Singing, written by my father, Joe (Yorky) Walker. The site includes a brief account of his life. And there is also a website about Solidarity Forever! a book my mother, Bertha Laidler/Walker, wrote about her father, Australian socialist Percy Laidler.
Creating these websites inspired me to begin researching my family history. I've collected quite a bit of information over the past couple of years, and I'm in the process of inputting it to WeRelate.
My Laidler ancestors migrated from England to Australia in 1856 on a ship named the British Trident. Quite a few family history researchers seem to take an interest in this family, but these Laidlers have apparently not been added to WeRelate until now.
