I'm Melissa Shimkus, a Genealogy Librarian for the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, IN. I have been involved in genealogy for over 6 years. I began working for the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library in Tampa, FL in the genealogy collection and eventually became the supervisor of the collection. I was an adjunct instructor for the University of South Florida course on Introduction to Genealogical Research.
