Patrick Rudden, one of the oldest citizens of Newark, N.J., died in the City Hospital there on Saturday night, after long suffering from a cancerous affection of the face. He went to Newark sixty-two years ago from Ireland and at his death was ninety-two years old. He was at one time a prominent contractor and worth $100,000, but lost nearly everything in 1872-'73. He leaves three grown sons.
