Source:Bond, Henry. Family Memorials. Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), p. 408, noted that Joseph and James Priest are about the same age as Joseph and James Price, sons of William Price of Watertown. Savage promoted this speculation into fact, giving James Price the wife and children of James Priest, and claiming Price was often written as Priest. In fact, it is false, they are sons of Joseph and Hannah Priest of Boston. See NEHGR, Vol. 93, p. 206. A deed in 1697 shows James, Joseph and Hannah Priest of Watertown with their mother widow Hannah Priest of Watertown selling their father Joseph's share of a dwelling house in Boston that he got from his father James Priest. --Jrich 00:44, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
