Defect 1 [22 February 2014]

This death date of 27 Oct 1692 has an unknown basis. The death of "Robert Blood ye husband of Hanah" is unambiguously recorded in Concord in 1701. Two brothers of Robert died in 1692, neither on this date though. --Jrich 04:00, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Defect 2 [22 February 2014]

A Sarah Blood did die in Roxbury in 1690 (Roxbury VRs, p. 2:467), but it is not clear who she is. Regardless, the daughter of Robert, i.e., "Sarah, d. Robertt" according to the Chelmsford VRs, m. 1685 Daniel Colburn and d. 1741. --Jrich 04:37, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Defect 3

Various errors in the births of the children compared to the Concord records:

  • Robert 20 Feb not 2 Feb.
  • Josiah 1664 not 1661.
  • Samuel 1671 not 1672.
  • James' birth is recorded 3 Nov.
  • Ebenezer was 1676/77 which should be 1677 by Savage's usual convention.
  • Jonathan's birth is recorded as 1 Sep 1679. --Jrich 20:13, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

Defect 4

Apparently having access to better information than Savage (see above), and no record of a daughter Abigail is found. It is unknown what Savage's "credible report" is, but it appears incorrect. Shattuck, names as Savage's source for including Jonathan in the family, p. 368, in his coverage of the Bloods, shows no daughter Abigail in this family. One of the most recent works, Source:Harris, Roger Deane. Story of the Bloods, p. 144-145, shows no daughter Abigail in this family despite appearing to be well-researched. --Jrich 21:17, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
