If Abner didn't need someone to sign for him, he would have to be born by 1782. Same for his wife Eva. Based on census records, Eva was younger than Abner so a birth date of 1775 would seem to be close.--ruthnevada 19:49, 11 January 2013 (EST) Agree, assuming Abner and Eve were at least 21 in 1803 implies a DOB no later than 1782 for either of them. That works well for Eve, but Abner was probably older, so that's consistent with a 1775 DOB that I usually assume for Abner. Q 08:36, 12 January 2013 (EST)
