Last Will and Testament of Hannah Cowan dec. In the name of God ______, I Hannah Cowan of the State of South Carolina being of moderate health and in perfect mind and memory thanks be give to God for his mercies calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for me once to die. I do make this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I do give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God who gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried decent Christian burial at the discretion of friends I do leave nothing doubting but I shall receive the same again at the general resurrection by the power of God. I do give and bequeath
to my son Hiram Cowan one third part of all my interest in that tract of land whereon I now live the said tract of land contains 220 acres bounding as follows on the east by James Ball north and northeast by Wm. Morris and Suddy West by Henry Mosely and Richard Moselty south by John Morris and Joseph B_____ also and Walnut table one half dozen of pewter plates in small ___pter Wagon and a ____oven.
I also do give and bequeath to my son John Cowan one feather bed and furniture
also to my daughter Durselle Bashin my Walnut chest and my flour wheel
and the balance of my property while I do possess at my death I give to each of my children an equal division and I do hereby testify and confirm this to be my last will and testament. In witness thereto I have hereby set my hand and seal this 25th day of July in the year of our Lord 1815.

John Bashin could be the husband of daughter Durselle, but then we'd need to explain who Elizabeth H. Bashin was. A simpler explanation is that Elizabeth is John Bashin's wife, and John is related in some way to the husband of Durselle, possibly her husbands father.
