The following data has been extracted from Summers, 1929. This portion of Summers is not included in his index. It includes only entries for Grooms, as Summers did not provide a double entry under the maiden name of the wife.
Date | Walker Groom | Bride | Brides Parents | Notes
| 1781 | James | Jane Carden | Joseph Carden |
| 1778 | James | Margaret Woods | | Andrew b. 1722 had one more daughter than is in most genealogies. She predeceased him but her marriage record confirms she was a daughter. This was Margaret, probably the oldest daughter, who married James Walker (probably a brother of Henry Walker who married her younger sister, Martha Woods). Botetourt County marriage records: "Margaret Woods married James Walker 2 March, 1773. James Woods bondsmen; Andrew Woods testified that Margaret was over 21 years of age..." From Cecelia Fabos-Becker, Dec 2009 on Ancestry Woods Board Note the descrepancy in the marriage date (1773 vice 1778 in Summers, 1929)
