His s. John was k. by the Ind. 15 July 1698. Descend. are very num.
in that region. WILLIAM, Dorchester, or perhaps Braintree, a propr.
1654, of Lancaster, m. at D. 12 Feb. 1658, Mary, whose surname is not
seen in the rec. Perhaps he rem. to New London, where Miss Caulkins
shows a William, in 1667, fined for neglect of train. and very soon after
to Stonington, there had William, Joseph, Mary, and Lydia, bapt. 1 Sept.
1672. Of these Mary d. young, and Joseph, prob. bef. his f. Ano. Mary
he brot. to bapt. 14 Mar. 1675. He d. 16 Mar. 1713, in his will ment. as
his ch. William, Ebenezer, and six ds. but their names are not read.
Perhaps this last period may refer to WILLlAM, Stonington, s. proh. of the
preced. wh. by w. Hannah had Abigail, and Dorothy, perhaps not tw. but
bapt. 1 July 1677; Elizabeth 25 Sept. 1679; Patience, 4 Mar. 1683; Joseph,

Farmer found eight at Yale, four at Harv. and three at other N. E. coll.
BILLINGTON, FRANCIS, Plymouth, younger s. of John, b. in Eng. m.
1634, Christian, wid. of Francis Eaton, rem. bef. 1648, to Yarmouth,
and Gov. Bradford, in 1650, tells, that he had eight ch. Of them I can
hardly name half, and the order is imperf. ascertain. One was, I presume,
Rebecca, b. 8 June 1647; but older must have been Martha, wh.
m. 10 Jan. 1661, Samuel Eaton; older than her, perhaps, was Isaac, one of
the found. of the first ch. at Middleborough, wh. d. 11 Dec. 1709, aged
66; ano. whose name appears not on the rec. was b. 25 Feb. 1652;
and Mary, wh. m. 27 June 1681, John Martin, perhaps as sec. w. JOHN,
Plymouth 1620, came in the Mayflower with w. Helen, and two s. John,
wh. d. bef. his f. but after the div. of cattle in 1627, and Francis, bef.
ment. He was hang. for murder in 1630, of John Newcomen. See
Bradford's Hist. 276, and Winthrop I. 36. THOMAS, Exeter 1650, d. at
Taunton, Apr. 1662.
BILLS or BILLES, MATTHEW, Dover 1654. ROBERT, Charlestown,
came 1635, in the Pied Cow, a husbandman, aged 32, and d. 15 Dec. of
the same yr. Admin. of his est. was giv. 1638 to John Knowles, wh.
had, prob. in Eng. m. his sis. wid. of Ephraim Davis. See Geneal. Reg.
XII. 54. But of John Knowles's resid. we can be sure of no more,
than that it was not Watertown. THOMAS, Barnstable, perhaps s. of
William, m. 3 Oct. 1672, Ann, prob. d. of William Twining, had Ann, b.
28 June 1673; and Elizabeth 23 Aug. 1675. His w. d. nine days after, and
he m. 2 May 1676, Joanna Twining, d. of ano. William and niece of
the former w. had Nathaniel, 25 June 1677; Mary, 14 Apr. 1679;
