mind, Sarah, d. of Thomas Kemble, or Kimball, of Charlestown. They
had only ch. Elizabeth wh. m. John Livingston of New London, and outliv.
him. Some proof of the mother's literary skill is furnish. by her journal
of travels in 1704 from Boston to New York and back, publish. so late
as 1825 by Theodore Dwight, Esq. She had rem. aft. the d. of her h.
to Norwich, and thence to New London, where she d. 25 Sept. 1727.

Elizabeth 11 Mar. 1702. ROBERT, Hampton 1640, rem. to Boston, had, by
first w. Samuel, b. 1642, wh. prob. d. young. He m. Ann, the young
wid. of Thomas Cromwell, the rich privateersman, I presume early in
1650, and may thereafter have spent a yr. or more in Maine, but had
Edward, b. 5 Feb. 1652; and Martha, 1 Sept. 1653; beside James, in
1654, wh. prob. d. soon; and he d. 27 June 1655; his will of 8 May
preced. gave all to w. with care of only ch. Edward and Martha.
ROBERT, Marblehead 1648, may be he wh. d. at Cambridge
29 Oct.1652; but nothing more is kn. There was a ROBERT
of Marblehead 1673. ROBERT, Kittery 1647, rem. to York,
d. 1676, his will of 23 June, pro. 24 Aug. of that yr. ment. s. Richard,
liv. in Boston. ROGER, Portsmouth 1631, among the people sent by
Mason the patentee. Belkn. I. 425. His d. Mary m. John Bruster or
Brewster of Portsmouth. SAMUEL, Roxbury, m. 16 Oct. 1685, Sarah,
perhaps d. of Abraham Howe of the same, had Mehitable, b. 9 Sept. 1686,
d. under 17 yrs.; Samuel, wh. d. 20 May 1689; and Ebenezer, Feb. 1694.
THOMAS, Salem 1661, a mason, perhaps s. of Walter. TOBY, Newport
1638. WALTER, Salem 1626, had been here in 1622, and is now sent
over by the Dorchester people to strengthen Conant; perhaps was of
Duxbury 1638; in 1653 giv. evidence a. something that occur. in 1622,
perhaps only hearsay, he call. his age 66. WILLIAM, Salem, a mason,
had gr. of ld. 1637, yet seems rather to belong to Lynn, freem. 2 May
1638, had John, Ann, Francis, Hannah, all by sec. w. Elizabeth Jacob,
Daniel, Elizabeth and Mary, and d. 5 Mar. 1656. From Lewis was this
acco. deriv. by Farmer; yet there is evid. that he had John and Francis,
Joanna, and Mary only, all brot. from Eng. and that the s. both went
home, and there Francis d. without issue; but John aft. serv. the
parliam. cause in the civil war, obt. possessn. of est. in Eng. that was
his f.'s m. and d. in that country. His will, of 2 Dec. 1653, provides
for div. of est. among the ch. of both ws. ea. nam. and to eldest s. Jacob
doub. portion. The inv. was ret. when the will was pro. 28 June 1655.
WILLIAM, Topsfield, came, perhaps, in 1638, tho. by no means can I
