    KIDDER, EDWARD, by Eaton call. one of the first sett. of Reading,
but I kn. no more, unless, as is prob. he were the man (as Eaton is
liberal in count. first) wh. bound hims. at Wrexham, in Co. Denbigh, 28
July 1675 to serv. four yrs. in Boston Theophilus Yale of Chester, in
Eng. as a shoemak. EPHRAIM, Billerica, s. of James the first, m. 1
Aug. 1685, Rachel, eldest d. of Simon Crosby, had Joseph; Ephraim,
b. 26 Apr. 1688; and Rachel, 1 Apr. 1691; Alice, 8 Feb. 1693; Hannah,
and Dorothy, tw. b. at Medford 2 Sept. 1696; Thomas, 3 Aug.
1700; Benjamin, 3 Aug. 1702; and Richard, 10 May 1705; his w. d.
14 Sept. 1721; and he d. 25 Sept. 1724. JAMES, Cambridge 1619, s.
of James, b. a. 1626, at East Grinstead, Co. Sussex, by w. Ann, d. of
Elder Francis Moore, m. 1649, had Hannah, b. 1 Mar. 1650; Dorothy,
1651; James, 3 Jan. 1654; John, 1655; Thomas, 1 Mar. 1657; all
bapt. as Mitchell's Reg. test. without giv. dates; Nathaniel, bapt. 27 Feb.
1659; Ephraim, b. 31 Aug. 1660, bapt. 26 May 1661; and dism. to ch.
at Billerica, there had Stephen, 26 Nov. 1662; Enoch, 16 Sept. 1664;
Samuel, 7 Jan. 1666; Sarah, 1 June 1667; and Joseph, 30 Nov. 1670;
and d. a. 1683. Descend. it is common. said, may be found in every
state of this Union. Dorothy m. 6 June 1673, the sec. Jonathan Hyde;
and Sarah m. 30 Jan. 1690, George Brown. JAMES, Billerica, eldest s.
of the preced. m. 23 Sept. 1678, Elizabeth Bunn, had James, b. 27 June
1679; John, 27 Jan. 1681; Joseph, 21 Apr. 1683; Elizabeth 30 Mar. 1686;
Hannah, 25 Apr. 1689; and Samuel, 2 Mar. 1691; and his w. d. 10
Aug. foll. JOHN, Chelmsford, br. of the preced. m. 3 Sept. 1684,
Lydia Parker, had Ann, b. 12 Sept. 1685; John, 23 Dec. 1687; and
Thomas, 13 Oct. 1690. NATHANIEL, Newton, perhaps s. of James the
first, d. 1690. SAMUEL, Cambridge, s. of James, m. 23 Dec. 1689,
Sarah, d. of John Griggs, had Sarah, b. 17 Aug. 1690; Francis, 1692;
Samuel, 1694, d. at 24 yrs.; James, 1696, d. at 18 yrs.; John, 1701;
and Joseph, 1704, d. in 21st yr. and the f. d. 4 July 1724. STEPHEN,

James, by w. Mary had Stephen, bapt. at Boston, 31 Oct. 1697, d. soon;
others, of wh. some earlier, were Ann; Sarah; Elizabeth; Mary, bapt. 21
Oct. 1694; Stephen, 21 June 1696, d. soon; Isaac; John; and Abigail.
His w. d. 17 Sept. 1722, and he d. 5 July 1748. THADDEUS, Marblehead
1674. THOMAS, Watertown, prob. br. of the sec. Stephen, was
freem. 1690. Four of this name had, in 1834, been gr. at Harv. and
four at other N. E. coll.
