Phebe had Mary, b. 4 Dec. 1682. JOHN, Watertown, cordwainer, m.
Sarah, d. of John Eddy, was freem. 1652, had Mary, bur. 24 Jan. 1642,
aged 2 mos.; John, b. 12 May 1643, d. in 3 days; Isaac, 20 Jan. 1653; Samuel,
1655; rem. to Boston, was selectman 1693, and d. 7 Jan. 1705, aged 86.
JOHN, Cambridge, prob. s. of the preced. rem. to Boston, m. Ann, d. of
John Harrison, had John, b. 30 May 1683, d. soon; John, again, 17
Aug. 1684, d. young; Joseph, 10 Aug. 1686; John, 29 Aug. 1687, d.
soon; and John, again, 28 June 1689; freem. 1679; was deac. selectman
1698, and of ar. co. 1691. SAMUEL, Boston, s. of the first John,
but of him I learn from Sewall in his Diary, of the sad manner of d. of
his w. Hannah 4 Apr. 1688; and from the rec. that by her he had John,
b. 25 Dec. 1681; Hannah, 23 June 1685; and Mary, 18 June 1687.
He m. a sec. w. Mary, and had Samuel, 8 June 1689; Catharine, 15
Sept. 1690; Edward, 2 Dec. 1692; Isaac, 8 Mar. 1694; Elizabeth 21 Nov.
1695; Joseph, 18 Dec. 1698, prob. d. young; Joanna, 10 May 1701;
John, 5 Apr. 1703; and Joseph, again, 22 July 1705. It is sometimes
spell. Merion.

    MARK or MARKS, JOHN, or other name begin. with J. of Middleborough,
d. July 1675, of a wound by the Ind. Hubbard's Ind. Wars,
133. PATRICK, Charlestown 1677, by w. Sarah had Mary, bapt. 20
Jan. 1689, aged 18, the mo. hav. been adm. to that rite 10 Apr. 1687,
aged a. 50. ROGER, Andover, a soldier of maj. Appleton's comp.
wound. by the Ind. at the gr. fight 19 Dec. 1675 (Hubbard, 84), lost his
w. Sarah 22 Dec. 1690, by smallpox.

    MARKHAM, DANIEL, Cambridge, m. 3 Nov. 1669, Elizabeth d. of Francis
Whitmore, had James, b. 16 Mar. 1675[1], perhaps freem. 1674, rem. to
Middletown and m. Patience, d. of William Harris. JAMES, Cambridge,
s. of Daniel, m. 14 Oct. 1700 (but Parsons, in Geneal. Reg. XIV. 67,
says 1699), Elizabeth youngest ch. of the first William Locke, rem. to
Middletown, had James, b. 22 Nov. 1701; Elizabeth 18 Jan. 1704; William,
28 Jan. 1706; John, 28 Dec. 1708; Mary, 14 May 1710; Abigail, 22
July 1712; Martha, 18 June 1714; Hannah, 6 Sept. 1716; and Nathaniel,
27 Feb. 1719; and d. 8 June 1731. His wid. d. 25 (but
Parsons, appeal. to tbe testimo. of the gr.stone, says 17) Sept. 1753.
JEREMIAH, Dover 1659. NATHANIEL, Watertown, freem. 1682, was,
perhaps, f. of that Nathaniel of Charlestown, whose d. 26 Sept. 1673, is
noted by Farmer. WILLIAM, Hadley, of the first sett. but bef. that had
William, wh. was k. by the Ind. with capt. Beers at Northfield, 4 Sept.
1675, and ds. Priscilla and Lydia; at H. had John, b. 1661, d. at less
than 3 yrs.; and Mercy, 1663, d. young; was freem. 1661, in 1681, 15
