1692; Sarah, 12 Nov. 1694; Rebecca, 14 July 1696; and Thomas, 21
Apr. 1702. NATHANIEL, Saybrook, s. of Simon, m. 1683, Susanna, d.
of dep.-gov. Francis Willoughby, had Susanna, b. 6 Aug. 1685, d. at 4
mos.; Samuel, 29 Oct. 1689; Nathaniel, 22 Oct. 1692; Elizabeth 2 Dec.
1694; and four others; and d. 5 Oct. 1729. SAMUEL, Charlestown, s.
of Thomas, by w. Rebecca had Thomas, b. and d. 1678; and Rebecca,
bapt. 19 Feb. 1682, when the mo. join. the ch. as a wid. but when the f.
d. is unkn. SAMUEL, Boston, br. of Nathaniel, was a merch. and freem.
1690, d. Dec. 1697. SIMON, Boston 1650, b. in London, June 1624,
s. of Enoch, wh. d. there 23 Apr. 1636, and of Elizabeth wh. long surv. m.
22 Feb. 1653, Hannah, d. of John Newgate, had Samuel, b. 1 Dec.
1653, bef. ment.; Simon, 26 Sept. 1655, d. soon; John, 8 Nov. 1657;
Nathaniel, 22 Nov. 1659, bef. ment.; Elizabeth 25 Mar. 1662; Benjamin, 22
Sept. 1666, H. C. 1686, bef. ment.; Hannah, 19 May 1670; and Sarah,
25 May 1672; beside John; Joseph; Enoch, wh. was bapt. 1 Feb. 1674;
and James, wh. all d. young; was of ar. co. 1658, and d. 22 Nov. 1687;
and his wid. d. 20 Dec. 1689. He was bred to trade in Holland, and
aft. com. to B. and here resid. sev. yrs. went to London, and sometime
was engag. there, and partook in 1672 of design for planting near
Stonington, as land speculat. The d. Elizabeth m. George Pordage;
Hannah had three hs. but no ch. and d. 9 Aug. 1725; and Sarah m.
her cous. Nathaniel Newgate, or Newdigate, as in Eng. it was writ.
THOMAS, Charlestown 1634, freem. 4 Mar. 1635, rep. 1636, 7, 46,
and sev. yrs. more, selectman 14 yrs. and a deac. d. 30 Dec. 1671, in
77th yr. By first w. he had Thomas, b. in Eng. where prob. she d.;
and Mary, wh. prob. was brot. over in 1635, by John Winthrop jr. in
the Abigail, then aged 6 yrs.; beside six others, wh. d. bef. him, one
being Henry, wh. d. 9 Apr. 1646; and by sec. w. Margaret, wid. of
Thomas Jordan, and d. of John Martin, had Joseph, b. 3, bapt. 5 June
1636; Sarah, bapt. 14 Apr. 1639; Hannah, 2, bapt. 8 May 1642;
William; and Samuel, 14 Oct. 1644. This w. d. 3 Aug. 1662, and he
m. 6 Dec. 1665, Rebecca, wid. of capt. Nicholas Trerice, wh. long outliv.
him, and d. 8 Dec. 1688. His will, made only ten days bef. he d. with
a codic. of a single day bef. ment. w. Rebecca, s. Joseph, Samuel, and
Thomas, s.-in-law Robert Pierpont, ds. Hannah Trerice, and Mary
Wicks
of Succonessett. The inv. was of good amount. Mary m. a
Wicks; Hannah m. 1663, John Trerice; and Sarah m. 18 Feb. 1657,
