good est. His will, made 10 July 1658, names his wid. wh. liv. to 29
May 1687, aged 84, and eleven ch. being, all those he brot. exc. Robert,
wh. had d. near seven yrs. bef.; beside Ruth, and Deborah. The
regist. of Dunstable, Eng. wh. ment. the bapt. of his s. Zechary, 20 Oct.
1630, relates also, that a Sarah was bur. 12 Dec 1631, so she was not
his d. Sarah m. Abraham Hill; Elizabeth m. James Parker; Ann m. 24
Oct. 1643, James Convers; Mary m. Simon Kempthorne; Rebecca m.
17 July 1656, Elias Rowe; and Hannah m. 22 Oct. 1657, Henry
Cookery. His will also names gr.s. Samuel L. wh. was s. of Robert.
ROBERT, Charlestown, sec. s. of the preced. b. in Eng. had Samuel, b.
23 Apr. 1647; d. under mid. age, and his wid. Elizabeth m. Jacob Green.
ROBERT, Newbury, m. 1617, Alice Stevens, had Mary, b. 24 Feb. 1649;
Abiel, 19 Feb. 1650; Susanna, 4 Nov. 1656; Shubael, 14 Apr. 1661;
Martha; John; and Rebecca; was freem. 1645, deac. and d. of smallpox,
27 Dec. 1690; and his wid. d. in three wks. Mary m. 1664, John
Cloyes; Susanna m. Stephen Blandford of Sudbury; as Coffin, in Hist.
of N. tells. SAMUEL, Ipswich 1648, may have been br. of Philip.
SAMUEL, Charlestown, s. of the sec. Robert, by w. Elizabeth had Robert, and
a. early in Nov. 1671. His will, of 22 Aug. bef. pro. 19 Dec. foll.
made w. extrix. and f. Jacob Green and uncle John L. overseers,
directs only ch. Robert to be brot. up to letters, and provides for unborn
ch. SHUBAEL, Newbury, s. of Robert of the same, m. 26 Aug.
1695, Hannah Merrill, had Robert, b. 20 May 1696; Abigail, 3 Jan. 1698,
d. in few days; Abigail, again, 31 Jan. 1699; and John, 2 Nov. 1701.
THOMAS, Hartford 1665, had Joseph, b. 22 Jan. 1668; and William, 4
Feb. 1670. THOMAS, Roxbury, had Thomas, b. 26 Nov. 1688. Perhaps
he was br. of Joseph of Dorchester. ZECHARY, Charlestown, s.
of Robert of the same, b. in Eng. came with his f. m. 24 Sept. 1656,
Sarah Tidd, had Sarah, b, 22 July 1657; Zechary; Mary; and Elizabeth
all bapt. 21 June 1668; Deborah, 23 Oct. 1670; John, 31 Aug. 1673;
his w. d. 3 July 1674, and he m. Mary, d. of Rev. Jonathan Burr, wh.
brot. him Jonathan, bapt. 8 Oct. 1676; and d. 2 Aug. 1681; and he had
third w. Sarah Moore, by wh. he had Sarah, bapt. 13 May 1683; Robert,
28 Dec. 1684; and Elizabeth 20 Mar. 1687; and he d. 28 Mar. 1688.
His wid. m. 24 Sept. 1690, capt. Caleb Stanley of Hartford. ZECHARY,
Charlestown, s. prob. of the preced. by n. Elizabeth Checkley, d. prob. of
Anthony, had Zechary, bapt. 9 July 1693. Three of this name, in 1834,
had been gr. at Harv. and eight at the other N. E. coll.

    LONGBOTTOM, JAMES, Newport 1660, was one of the purchasers of
Misquamicut, or Ascomicut, now Westerly. R. I. Hist. Coll. III. 251,
and R. I. Col. Rec. I. 450.
