JAMES, Boston, merch. prob. from Bristol, as fam. tradit. said, had come
a. 1670 to Newport, but 1673 was fix. at B. m. Griselda, d. of Nathaniel
Sylvester of Shelter Isl. and d. 1693. He m. for sec. w. 3 Nov. 1691,
Rebecca, d. of our Gov. John Leverett. His s. Henry, of Queen's Co.
L. I. was f. of James, a disting. physician of Boston, b. 1728, d. Mar.
1810, whose s. James, H. C. 1787, a U. S. senator, d. 1831, without
issue. WALTER, came in the Hopewell, capt. Babb, in the aut. of 1635,
aged 27; but where he sat down is unkn.

    LOBDELL or LOBDEN, ISAAC, Hull 1658, may have sev. yrs. bef.
been at Plymouth, freem. 1673. I have seen it stated that his w. was
Martha, d. of Samuel Ward. JOHN, Hull, perhaps br. of the preced.
m. 29 July 1609, Hannah, d. of John Leavitt, wh. d. 23 Apr. 1662, and
he d. 1673, the same yr. in wh. he was freem. and Nathaniel Bosworth,
call. his f.-in-law, had admin. of his est. wh. was good. JOSHUA, Milford,
s. of Simon of the same, liv. there 1713, prob. had fam. NICHOLAS,
Hingham 1636, had that yr. gr. of ld.; but Lincoln, 44, spells
the name lobdin. NICHOLAS, Charlestown, by w. Elizabeth had Nicholas,
bapt. 18 Nov. 1688; Elizabeth 8 Sept. 1689. SIMON, Milford, Hartford 1655,
freem. 1657, rem. to Springfield, there from 1666 to 74, was pris.-keep. and
had Elizabeth b. 1669; and Joshua, 1671; beside Ann, 1674; rem. to M. and there
had Rebecca, bapt. 1677, and, perhaps, other ch. Lambert is, perhaps,
wrong by thirty yrs. in mark. him of Milford 1645. Elizabeth possib. his
sis. m. at Boston 1651, Jonathan Burt of Springfield; and Ann, ano. sis.
perhaps m. 3 Jan. 1660, Samuel Terry of S.

    LOCKE, EBENEZER, Woburn, s. of William, m. 18 Oct. 1697, Susanna,
d. of Israel Walker, had Ebenezer, b. 28 Apr. 1699, and she d.
13 June foll.; he m. again, 14 Oct. 1701, Hannah, d. of David Mead,
had Samuel, 24 Aug. 1702; Josiah, 15 Mar. 1705; Joshua, 21 Aug.
1709; Nathan, 20 Mar. 1713; and Hannah, 11 Apr. 1716; and he d.
24 Dec. 1723. His wid. d. 24 July 1739. EDWARD, Hampton, s. of
John of the same, m. Hannah, d. of Francis Jenness, had Francis, b. 18
July 1694; Samuel, 4 Sept. 1698; Edward, 28 May 1701; Prudence,
30 May 1707; James, 4 Oct. 1709; and Thomas, 10 June 1713.

Cutter, had Hannah, b. 11 July 1701; James, 17 June 1703; Ruhamah,
23 Apr. 1705; Sarah, 5 July 1707, Phebe, 15 Aug. 1709; Rebecca,
11 Nov. 1711; Mary, 12 Oct. 1713; and Jonathan, 17 Jan. 1717; and
