1676, leav. Joseph only 5 yrs. old. Willis, I. 37, 134, 140 and 3. One
Joan A. wh. testif. 1688, that she was 60 yrs. old, had been, I think, wid.
of John Andrews, and was then wid. of Benjamin Atwell. JOHN, Lynn
1650. JOSEPH, Kittery, s. of Benjamin, was, it is said, brot. up by William
Scriven, but no more is heard.

    ATWOOD, ALEXANDER, Northampton, freem. 1684. ELDAD, Eastham,
prob. s. of Stephen, m. 14 Feb. 1684, Ann Snow, perhaps d. of Mark,
had Mary, b. Nov. 1684; John, 10 Aug. 1686; Ann, Jan. 1688; Deborah,
Mar. 1690; Sarah, Apr. 1692; Eldad, 9 July 1695; Ebenezer,
Mar. 1698; and Benjamin, June 1701. HERMAN, Boston 1642, s. of
John, came from Sanderstead, Co. Surrey, a. 15 miles from London, in
employm. of Thomas Buttolph, adm. of the Ch. 24 Feb. 1644, ar. co. 1644,
freem. 1645, m. 11 Aug. 1646, Ann, d. of William Cop, had John, b. 5
Oct. 1647; and Sarah, bapt. 26 May 1650; and he d. 1651. His wid.
m. 10 Mar. 1652, Thomas Saxton, and d. 23 June 1661. JOHN, Plymouth
1636, came from London, was an Assist. 1638, treasr. of the Col.
1641 to his d. 1644, had good est. leav. wid. Ann, but no issue, unless
that Mary Wood, very often used for Atwood, wh. m. 11 Dec. 1661, John
Holmes, wh. bec. min. of Duxbury, were his d. wh. is very unlikely, for
in his will of 20 Oct. 1643, as Winsor, 180, tells, he names no ch. but
gives most of his prop. to w. wh. d. 1 June 1654, and in her will, of 27
Apr. 1650, she divides her est. betw. br. and sis. Robert and Mary Lee,
and her neph. William Crowe. Her he had nam. br. Lee and his w. and
their ch. Ann and Mary, beside his little kinsman, William Crowe.
JOHN, Boston, s. of Herman, ar. co. 1673, was its lieut. 1695, and deac.
of the sec. ch. by first w. Sarah had John, b. 23 May 1671, d. young;
James, 3 June 1673; Samuel, 18 May 1687; and Sarah, 11 Nov. 1688;
and by sec. w. Mary, d. of Francis Smith, m. 27 Oct. 1690, had Mary,
bapt. 6 Sept. 1691; John, again, b. 16, bapt. 18 Feb. 1694; Samuel,
bapt. 29 Mar. 1696; Ann, b. 19, bapt. 20 June 1697; Elizabeth bapt. 21 Aug.
1698; Abigail, 19 Nov. 1699; and Joshua, b. 10, bapt. 13 Apr. 1701.
He d. 26 Aug. 1714, and his wid. d. 18 Mar. 1729. JONATHAN, Woodbury,
s. of Thomas of Wethersfield, m. 5 Nov. 1701, Sarah, d. of Roger
Terrill, had Nathan, b. 6 Sept. 1702; Mary, 22 Oct. 1703, d. soon; Mary,
again, 20 Apr. 1705; Jonathan, 9 Sept. 1710; and Oliver, 11 Mar. 1717;
was a physician, and d. 1 Jan. 1733, as Cothren, 490, says, but 11 Feb.
of that yr. acc. Hinman. JOSEPH, Taunton, m. 1 Jan. 1680, Esther, d.
of James Walker, had Joseph, b. 4 Aug. 1681; John, 28 Feb. 1683;
