THOMAS, Hartford, freem. 1667, was perhaps s. of Francis of the same.
THOMAS, Ipswich, Perhaps s. of Robert of the same, was that sch.master,
wh. succeed. famous Ezekiel Cheever, 1 Aug 1660, and cont. in that
office to his d. 10 July 1683, never m. but his nephs. John A. of Salem,
and Daniel Hovey jr. of I. had admin. on his est. wh. was good. THOMAS,
Dorchester, prob. s. of Thomas of the same, m. 31 Dec. 1667, Phebe, d. of
Richard Goard, had Thomas, b. 31 Dec. 1668; Joseph, 25 Dec. 1675; Thankful,
1 May 1680; and John, July 1686; and d. 6 Aug. 1704. THOMAS,
Milford, s. of Francis, liv. there 1675-1700, m. Elizabeth d. of Robert Porter
of Farmington, had Hannah, and Mary, bapt. 31 May 1685; and a fam.
perhaps, of other ch. THOMAS, Middletown, s. of William of Hartford,
m. Hannah, d. of John Kirby of M. d. early in 1691, leav. seven ch.
Thomas, John, Samuel, Hannah, Elizabeth Sarah, and Abigail. His wid. m.
Alexander Rollo. Early at Rowley, or Boxford, was one Thomas, and
one at Dorchester 1641, unless this be rather thot. the veteran of Hingham.
THOMAS, Hingham, s. of Joseph of the same, had Joseph, b. 22 Sept.
1656. was a capt. in the extravag. expedit. of Sir William Phips, 1690,
against Quebec, in wh. he perish. by smallpox, late in Nov. 1690, hav.
made his will 26 of that mo. had Jedediah, b. 7 July 1674, H. C. 1695, wh.
bec. a min. at Philadelphia. Lincoln, 116. Other ch. were John, b. 30 Sept.
1658; Ruth, 6 Aug. 1660; Elizabeth 22 Sept. 1665; Ephraim, 27 Oct. 1667,
d. under tow yrs. Abigail, 7 Jan. 1670; Stephen, 6 Mar. 1672; Benjamin,
4 Mar. 1676; and one b. 2 Nov. 1670, d. very soon. WILLIAM,
Lynn 1634, maybe one of the early freem. of this name, 4 Mar. 1634, or 4 Mar.
1630, or 13 May 1640; of wh. the last William's surname is giv. with o, instead
of e in the last syl. but he of 1635 hav. the prefix of respect may seem
rather to belong to Charlestown or Cambridge by proximity of other

here. WILLIAM, New Haven, a promin. man, sign. the compact 1639,
prob. accomp. Gov. Eaton, and no doubt was first at Boston or Charlestown;
at N. H. was active in milit. serv. and kept the ordinary, one of
the founders of the ch. and hard. could get leave to give up his ordinary,
had William, and Samuel, perhaps b. in Eng. but Nathan, bapt. at N. H.
17 Nov. 1639; and d. 3 Jan. 1664. WILLIAM, Hartford, one of the early
sett. came to H. from Cambridge, first sch.master, and soon town clk. had
w. Mary wh. d. at C. 19 Jan. 1640, and sec. w. Abigail, wh. m. Nathaniel
Barding; and he d. betw. 1655 and 1663, leav. ch. John; Elizabeth wh. m.
3 May 1655, Edward Grannis; Thomas; and Samuel, the youngest,
one acco. says b. 20, but ano. acco. makes him bapt. 19 Oct. 1645. His d.
